Sonia Haoa will now replant the Toromori tree, once the endemic and national tree of Easter Island.
Thor Heyerdahl saved a butt from the last living Toromiro tree 1955.
He brought the butt to Gothenburg Botanic Garden in Sweden and now, over half a century later,
the reforestation of Toromiro will begin to grow on Easter Island again.
